Unlike L-Ascorbic Acid, our Vitamin C (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) is extremely stable and lipid/fat soluble, meaning it has a greater affinity for skin because its fatty acid component helps aid penetration. It is able to successfully penetrate the epidermis and move to the layer underneath called the dermis.
